Nehemiah - An Introduction
We all feel homesick. We have a place where we can put our stuff, but it's not home. We're a group of people who miss the same place. Eden echoes in each of our memories. Except this place isn't imaginary; it's real. And we're not going to get it back by trying to create a new home for ourselves. That is what all of humanity has attempted to do. We've all tried to create a place where we can say, "This place is right and good and is finally home." Oh, we might feel that for a short period of time, but our souls cry out for Eden.

The Privilege of God's Son
Psalm 2 While Psalm 1 described the blessed life of righteous, who delight in God's Word, the headlines of the daily newspaper make clear that the wicked greatly outnumber the righteous. What are we to make of this? Is the battle to re-claim creation for God's glory destined to be lost? Psalm 2 brings great comfort in the person of God's Son, whom we are privileged to know, serve, and proclaim.

Holy Rebellion
It’s Time for You to Experience Holy Rebellion! Matthew 10:32-39; Mark 5:25-29; 7:24-30; 10:46-52; Rom. 12:1-2 The start of a new year is always a great time to get things in order and even have a new beginning! One way to initiate change, progress, and new beginnings is to “rebel†against things in your life that have been holding you back, down, and out! Don’t acquiesce any longer! Awake out of your complacency! For Jesus’ sake, and for the sake of your soul, REBEL! First, make a list of the things for which you are truly grateful. How is the goodness of God visible in your life? What are the things of which you are sick-and-tired? What are the things in your life that seem “okay†but you know their “grip†on your life will eventually lead to misery and destruction? Identify them and “rebelâ€! Who are your “partners-in-rebellionâ€? Who’s holding you accountable?
