Jesus' death for his people
Preacher: Pastor Tony Simpson. Passage: Isaiah 53 vv4-6. Why did the Messiah have to die? We all have a broken relationship with God because of our sin. Jesus came to bear the sins of his people, dying in their place, taking their punishment and reconciling them to God. Only through faith in Jesus do we have our relationship with God restored.
Repairing Relationships
Based on beattitudes -- blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy and blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. We need to forgive those who have wronged us and do our part in making things right with those we've wronged.
The Story: Life in the End
We have a blessed hope in the fact that Jesus is coming again to reconcile all things to Himself in the New Heaven and New Earth. Jesus paid for our sins once and for all on the cross, but we still deal with our sinful nature which leads to death. One day, when Jesus comes back, there will be no more sin, no more pain, no more sickness, no more death. There will be no more night because the very glory of God will shine brighter than the Sun upon us.
To Reconcile Murderers
Christ commands reconciliation. Most appreciate that murderers should be executed, but God's standards of righteousness far surpass simple murder.
Pursuing Forgiveness (Hosea 14:1-7)
Through the prophet Hosea, God has described for us the kind of words, and thus, a heart that is genuinely pursuing forgiveness.
Reconciled to God!
Putting Jesus first begins with being reconciled to Him through faith.
Be Reconciled
Reconciliation brings Freedom to your life Reconciliation prepares our hearts for ministry Reconciliation brings peace of mind Reconciliation is much more than than forgiveness
