Sermons About Regeneration
11-15-09 Romans 8:12-15
(Romans 8:12 KJV) Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. (Romans 8:13 KJV) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. (Romans 8:14 KJV) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Romans 8:15 KJV) For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. (Romans 8:16 KJV) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Sacred Life: Titus 3.8-15
This week we close out our series on Paul's letter to Titus. I pray that you have been encouraged and challenged over the last eight weeks. Sunday we will look at Paul's last word to Titus. In his closing remarks he speaks of the fruit of a regenerate life. Such fruit is God-glorifying, faith-drenched good works done from a heart of love. We see in this text that the regenerate life is lived in the context of relationships, vertically with God through Christ and horizontally with others. Paul addresses four different groups and how we are to live profitable lives among them.

Sacred Life: Titus 3.3-8
There is a groaning coming from all of creation. It is a longing for the new birth. Creation needs it. Not only does creation, but so does mankind. We need to be born again, to be changed and to experience regeneration. God has made this possible through HIs Son Jesus Christ by the work and power of the Holy Spirit. This week's message addresses true conversion and what God does to make one born again.

True Spiritual Hunger (Matthew 5:6)
The crowds Jesus was addressing were generally very religiously committed; their very cultural and national identity was defined by their religion. Among them, also, were the extremely committed and in many areas doctrinally sound Pharisees. But what they all have in common is a sense of security and self-sufficiency in their religion. But Jesus is cutting through all of that and addressing the one thing that really matters: the inner realities of the heart. This morning we come to “blessed are those who are hungering and thirsting after righteousness.”

The Pastor's Heart
The Israelites tested God ten (10) times. How many times do we test God as a person, a body of believers? Do we believe that God will provide all that we need as a person, family, church. Ask (and study) yourself this question: "Will we die in our religion or will we die in our devotion?"

CHOSEN, Part 2: Why Election?
We have a free will, but only inside of our own nature. We will never choose God on our own, this is why election is necessary. God, in His infinite grace, chooses us according to His sovereign good pleasure!
