Hearts On Fire For God
What is a burning heart? Luke gives us a story that is not found in any other Gospel – the disciples on the Emmaus Road. It was the afternoon of Resurrection Sunday. These disciples were on their way to the small town of Emmaus which was about seven miles west of Jerusalem. It was after the regular Sabbath – following Jesus’ death – and they were discussing the momentous events of recent days. Luke 24:32 – “And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?”

Mission Is...
Our God is a missional God. How does the Gospel motivate community missionwards? The Father sends the Son, the Son sends the Spirit, and the Spirit fills the church and sends it on mission and power into the world. To be on mission is simply to be like our God. It’s to understand His redemptive plan. It’s to join in His story. It’s to see our identity as it truly is.

Shirking religion in favour of Jesus
This ‘Re:Jesus' series is an examination in the midst of a multitudes of options why the person of Jesus is the unparalleled transcendent of any one religion and a light for all. In doing this, religion adds more weight to those who are already burdened with life's hardships. But Jesus offers us the rest we are searching for. Key Passage: Galatians 1:1-10
