Prioritizing Relationships
God has wired us to need each other. God prioritizes relationships.
For Pete's Sake!
...If our relationships are to be healthy and grow, there needs to be room for grace... I believe the early church struggled in their relationships with one another as well. So the Apostle Paul urged them “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, (literally, ‘slow to heat up’) bearing with one another in love.” (Ephesians 4:2).
Resolve to Do Unto Others
With all of the mess in our relationships how will we ever find the hope to have relationships that honor the Lord and are a blessing to us? Well, Jesus gives us the key - doing unto to others as we would have them do to us. Listen as pastor Jody Sledge calls us to do unto others by not judging, being generous, and above all loving them.
Risking Good Relationships
God's design is for His Son, Jesus, the Head of the Church to form a more perfect union of His people. At times people go their own way and problems develop and persist. Romans 14 is addressing some problems and setting God's people on a healthy path for relationships in Jesus.
Forgive Us Our Debts as We Forgive Our Debtors
In teaching us to pray, 'forgive us as we forgive', Jesus gave us a one sentence prayer that has the power to revolutionize our relationship with God and with others. Sometimes we skip past this portion of the Lord's Prayer out of familiarity. But what is forgiveness? Why should we pray for forgiveness if we are already forgiven? How does our forgiveness empower us to forgive? Listen as we dig deeper into these questions and open up the power of God's forgiveness for our daily lives.
5 Things Every Family Needs to Know - Part 3
The key word this week in our "Five Things Every Family Needs to Know" series is the word "inheritance". Together we will discover that we are the recipients of an incredible inheritance in Jesus. Even more astonishing is the fact that by God's good plan, these gifts he gives have the power to change our lives, our relationships, and our world!
Christian Love
In John 13:31-35 we see the tremendous call to love one another "just as" Jesus has loved us. For many of us love is conditional and the second it gets costly, we give up. See how Jesus intends us to obey such a massive call.
Growing in Belonging
We conclude our "Healthy for Life" series with the final way that Jesus grew according to Luke 2:52 - in favor with man. We grow like Jesus grew when we grow in our belonging.
