Are you like the Pharisees? They thought to be acceptable to God because of their religious practices. They thought to be better then "the sinners". They thought to be righteous in God's eyes and "the sinners" not worthy to God. Is your heart condition this way that your works, your ministry is the thing that makes you acceptable to God? Or do you see yourself to be a wretched sinner, not worthy of His presence and forgiveness?

A Voice of Repentance Luke 3:7-14
Many churches do ministry day in day out without the Power of God. They have a great drama program, put up an awesome show for those who come to see it and may have a successful out-reach program. But they do it all in there own power. They did not wait to move till the power of the Spirit came upon them (Luke 24:49). Are you waiting patiently for His Power to come over you or did you also move out on your own?
A Pharisee wants to interrogate this unique teacher (Jesus) who speaks with authority like no other ... who miraculously heals like no other, yet as he is about to grill Christ with his questions something happens that no one expected.
A thermometer merely declares its atmosphere's condition and, sadly, this is how most Christians go about their lives - reporting how awful this or that is. But such behavior is not God's design for your life! Christians are meant to not only declare "the temperature" but also change it through the power of God.
