Looking to God to save You - Matthew 21:6-11
Series: Preparing for What's Ahead (Part 8) - The eighth and next-to-last sermon in the series, "Preparing for What's Ahead," lifts up the importance of national revival. If you have sought God's forgiveness, the evidence of God's work in your life is both a changed personal life and a life dedicated to working for godly transformation in your community, country and the world. You will hear in this sermon that God's tolerance for sin is not infinite, and that the opportunity for people to repent and seek God's mercy is limited. You will learn that previous nationwide spiritual revivals, or "awakenings," have been preceded by Christians responding to calls to pray. ***** Pastor Terry appeals for a commitment to covenant to pray for a national revival, while there is yet time to do so. A copy of the "Covenant to Pray" will be emailed to anyone who requests it. Phone 401-822-2070 and provide your email address. Please pronounce each letter of your email address and give a word example (e.g., "b" as in boy, etc.). Note: The final sermon in this series will be preached on November 29, 2009. *****

Seven Signs of Revival - Revelation 3:14-20
Series: Preparing for What's Ahead (Part 6) – This sixth sermon in the series puts forth the proposition that Christians must join together and commit to specific actions that both call upon God and engage followers of Christ to confront head on the destructive powers and forces that are subtly but surely propelling us to catastrophe. You will hear Pastor Terry warn that, "The 'party' is almost over." This sermon builds upon the foundation of individual response that was introduced in the previous sermon by disclosing seven signs that have characterized previous times of personal and culturally transforming spiritual revival. Jesus' message to the early church located in the city of Laodicea is brought forward as a call to people to unite in inviting Jesus to come into our lives and churches, moving us to change the way we are living so that the classic signs of revival will emerge and result in unprecedented numbers of people turning to God.

An Important Revival Promise
Our text contains a very important Revival promise. Although it is often misunderstood and misapplied, there is still a valuable principle communicated that is found throughout the Scriptures. God still stands ready to bless His people whenever they come as He prescribed.

Revival in the Family
When we experience genuine Revival, the very first place it will be seen is at home. Ephesians 5 teaches us that when a person is filled with the Spirit of God, there will be immediate manifestations of spiritual health. He or she will cooperate with the Holy Spirit and joy, gratitude and unselfishness will be the evidence. Imagine the impact a family member would make if these qualities were readily demonstrated in the context of their home.

True Love
What is true love? This message looks at how the life of Jesus Christ demonstrates the nature of true love. True love is disciplined, forgiving, and sacrificial. Soak in the love Christ has for you and take His love to a starving world that needs to know the love of God.

Assurance of Salvation
The assurance of our salvation is the greatest truth that we can know. Christians will not grow spiritually or be fruitful in their Christian walk until they have the assurance of their salvation. This message by Dr. Ron Comfort examines 5 reasons why people do not get the assurance of their salvation. Personal altar workers and soulwinners need to understand this important concept.

The Raising of Lazarus
Perhaps the greatest miracle that Jesus performed is only recorded in John's gospel, yet, there is much we can learn from the raising of Lazarus from the dead. Lazarus was dead, was raised, was bound, then loosed, and then feasted with Jesus. He also became a powerful soul-winner. Christians need to quit acting like they are dead in sins and need to shake off the old grave clothes of their former life.
