In any dangerous church, there will be a unseen side that is rarely talked about. A dangerous church will experience pain, risk, and loss. Are you willing to give up something that you love, for something that you love even more? Are you willing to suffer and experience pain to honor Christ? Lion-chasers are willing to look foolish and take risks. Like Peter, lion-chasers step out of the boat because they know that to sink is better than to sit. We all face lions; we can either chase them or cave to them. Two lions we all face are the lion of "authentic community" and the "lion of purpose". Chase these lions!

Step of Faith
People of faith win God's approval because they walk in obedience and keep their eyes on him. When Jesus asked Peter to step over the side gunnels of the boat and onto the water he was asking him to take a big step of faith - He was asking him to do something that could only be done if God took over.
