Sermons About Rule
Feeding and Tending Jesus' Flock
We are children of God, no longer orphans in this world without Him. We are also His ambassadors in this world as His sent people. Jesus draws us to Himself so that we can have and live by the love of the Father, then Jesus sends us into the world as His missional people. In fact, when you read Jesus’ words in John chapter 20, you begin to see what He had in mind...

He Reigns!
Revelation 20 is one of the most debated texts in our study - NOT because the imagery is difficult to understand - BUT because of the various perspectives on WHEN these events will take place! What I'm afraid we've missed in all our debating is the central focus of the text! Namely, that Jesus Christ reigns! And that we've got a job to do! This weekend we'll try to make some sense out of the major schools of thought in regard to the timing of the "end" events. But more than anything, my prayer is that Jesus Christ would be lifted up! The Resurrection
The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is one of the central facts of Christianity, though the vast majority of society would consider it unimportant. The preacher believes this subject to be of shattering importance to your life, and his job today is to show us why this subject is of shattering importance to your life and mine.

Only One King
Today we're stepping into 'Part Two' of our study in the Revelation. This week we journey with John into the throne room of heaven itself and are confronted with the key question of the ages: Who will be the Lord of my life? There is only one KING, we understand clearly, but the question remains: will I acknowledge His right to rule and reign in me?! Key Passage: Revelation 4:1-11

Part 4: King And A Kingdom
King and a Kingdom From the very beginning, we see that God rules the world and his kingdom is characterized by blessing, peace, and life. The serpent deceives man and the world becomes subject to rulers and powers who rule not under God's authority, but under the power of the serpent, whose rule is characterized by curse, war, and death. God's promise to Abraham is a promise to restore the earth; this promise includes a king in the image of God who will rule forever.

Little is Much
This week we start our summer series of messages based on the stories Jesus told about the kingdom of heaven. About a dozen of his stories began with the words "the kingdom of heaven is like." In trying to understand what our world would look like if the values of God's kingdom really took root - these stories are a good starting point. Today, we pick up the concept that the kingdom will not come in a radical, military or political takeover, but rather, through the small but powerful and pervasive infl uence of kingdom agents spread liberally throughout the existing structures of society. The revolutionary influence of the kingdom has been called by some "the quiet revolution" but it's power is incredible! "True evangelical faith cannot lie dormant. It clothes the naked, it feeds the hungry, it comforts the sorrowful, it shelters the destitute, it serves those that harm it, it binds up that which is wounded, it has become all things to all people." (quote from Menno Simons, 1496-1561)
