Sermons About Salvation
Celebration Sunday
This sermon is about the sweet, simple, yet powerful salvation that Jesus offers. This was not the original planned sermon but the Spirit changed the sermon during the song service.

The Joy of Salvation, Part 2
Jesus' bold claim in John 14, that He is the truth, the way, and the life, is not made without reason. It is His identity as both God and Creator that allows him to make this claim, and leads us to a deeper truth: that all people need Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ & The Word, Pt. 5 (Matthew 5:20)
Anyone who is religious or "spiritually minded" naturally considers themselves to be OK with God, to have a righteousness that is acceptable to their Creator. Jesus teaches that the righteousness required to enter the kingdom, to be saved from the wrath of God, to have fellowship with God is something far beyond human works. The righteousness required is a righteousness that is granted through faith in the Person of Jesus Christ.

You're Invited II: Who
This is the second part of a series looking at what the next step of a journey with Christ is about, inviting people on this journey with us. This week focused on who we are called to invite on this journey with us. We are called to invite all who are in need, as Christ has met a need in us

We Study to Do the Will of God
No study of a passage in the Bible is complete if it is not applied to one's life. God does not want a bunch of computers (heads full of information), He wants disciples (humans being transformed by knowledge because it compells them to action). The "words" portion of the sermon is short...but the actions lasted a while...

Responding to the Lost
We need to understand God's heart for the lost. He loves all people without labeling or judging them based on our values. Everyone is valuable to God. The lost must become our priority, calling us to action. Each of us can impact others for God's kingdom by reaching out. There is joy when the lost are found. God Himself rejoices when someone is restored to Him.

Named
What's in a name? Significance? Love? Recapturing a memory? Maybe it's your grandpa's heritage or your mom's favorite aunt. Could be a biblical hero or a forgotten saint? Perhaps it's from a land far away or a character that's close to home. It could even be Hope, Faith, or Grace. Last year, in BC, there were 283 baby boys given the name Ethan. Interestingly enough, of the roughly 22,000 boys born last year not even one was named "Friend of Sinners." Key Passage: John 7:37-38
