Be Strong in the Lord (Part 2)
The Christian life is a life at war. This passage reminds us that our enemy is real and powerful, yet God has given the believer armor to help fight, stand, and advance against the schemes of the enemy. Part two of a three part message.

But Continue Thou ...
Garduates are challenged to continue in the Christian lessons that they have been taught from their parents and at their church. They are wiser than when they were younger. They are now the "Teachers" as younger kids will be looking up to them. They are challenged not to be complacent with learning in their lives. They should strive to grow in God's Holy Word. They are reminded that there are two courses in life: A. Required Courses: Life; Death; Judgment (Hebrews 9:27) and B. The Elective Courses: To be Saved or Lost; To bespiritual or carnal; To Live Spiritual or Logical (humanism); and to be safe in God's Will or in trouble in their own will.

Leap of Doubt: I Still Have Doubts, So I Can't be a Christian
• You might wonder – how could he know me and still love me? If Jesus is God, surely he knows about the terrible things I’ve done, the terrible thoughts that I’ve had. Surely Jesus, if He knows me better than I know myself, knows that I am simply unlovable. But this is where we need to know that the truth of Scripture trumps our personal feelings – the Bible assures us that Jesus knows us and loves us still. This is the amazing grace of the gospel story – not that I have to clean myself up before Jesus will accept me and love me, but that He loves me and accepts me first. He knew Mary’s name. He knows my name. And He knows yours.

Giving and Grace
The Law no longer condemns us and it no longer curses us. Instead the law has become the way we learn what it looks like to be fully human. It is now nothing to fear, but something we learn of so that we might follow Jesus in response to His grace. The Spirit now shows you how Jesus lived up to the law instead of condemning you and convicting you in all the ways you’ve failed to live up. When you fail, you’re failing to live like who you truly are in Jesus. You’re already seen by the Father as keeping the law, there’s no need to use it to get His favor.

Sunday Sermon for Week 13-09
For the second time, Paul proclaims that it is by grace we are saved. Salvation does not come about because of faith. Salvation comes by grace through faith. Salvation is not a reward for being good or keeping the law. Although good works do not save a person, they are a result of salvation.

Sunday Sermon for Week 12-09
But God, powerful words from Ephesians 2:4. Paul tells the Ephesians that they were once dead in their transgressions and sins. Every human being on the face of the earth starts spiritually dead. This death is comprehensive; it is by sins of both omission and commission. But God, in His grace and mercy has made us has made us alive in Jesus Christ.
