Sermons About Serving
God's Call
The Gwin Turner Pastors Manual Every Christian ought to be busy serving God. They should be studying their Bible, praying privately and publicly, tithing and giving offerings, witnessing to the lost, and praying for the sick. This is what every Christian should do. But so few do it. Often when a believer gets the power of God in His life, and starts acting like normal Christians should act, people think he ought to be a pastor. Good people see him doing all these good things, and they say to him, “You ought to be a pastor.” Since he enjoys serving God, he thinks what they are saying is right. So, he decides to become a pastor.

This sermon series will define what these values are and how we can put them into practice personally and as a community.

If this counter-intuitive plan to walk "up the down staircase" can work for the Son of God, can it work for us? Could the way to the top really be down?

Sacred Calling Part 2: Isaiah 58.1-12
What is sacred? We learned a few weeks ago that the church is sacred. They are God’s holy people. God’s sacred people also have a sacred calling. We learned last week that we are called to care for the poor and afflicted. This week we will continue to look at this sacred calling and find the great rewards to such a gospel-shaped life of giving.
