Due to technical issues the introduction to this message was not recorded. This sermon was given on Palm Sunday and the introduction was connection between Palm Sunday and the message of Hebrews. When Jesus entered Jerusalem on the donkey He was presenting Himself as the King of Israel. Presenting Jesus as superior to the angels, Moses and the prophets and as the eternal King and priest is the message of the Letter to the Hebrews. Though not a normal palm Sunday message this chapter in Hebrews addresses how we are to live in light of His sovereign rule as King who is far above all. As His subjects and under His rule we are to live lives that are different.

This is a journey through 1 Corinthians chapters 5 and 6. It considers especially the responsibility of church leaders, and all members, to judge wisely in pastoral matters. Christ said "do not judge" (Matthew 7:7) yet his meaning was that we should not claim for ourselves a function of judgment that does not belong to us. God will judge sinners - our responsibility is to love them until they see Christ.
Dinah must have been a beauty. Yet everybody seems to have missed that. It makes us wonder whether we miss the beauty of our lives and of God's creation and how to reclaim it.
The good news of the gospel creates in us and through us a kind of life called "holiness." Holiness is not the stodgy, stuffy, boring thing you may think. Holiness is Jesus, his gracious but truthful, strong but tender way of love. God is fully intent on creating this kind of life in us, and doing it in every area of our lives, including our sexuality. How does the gospel shape our sexuality?
