Death Undone
Adam and Eve were originally made eternal like God, but due to Adam's disobedience, they now experience physical decline and, ultimately, death. Christ, the second Adam, restores God's original intent, by defeating death in His resurrection. All those in Christ share in eternal life, which is essentially restoration of Creation before the fall. Our 80 years on earth is nothing compared to our eternal stay in Heaven.

Who Are You Blaming?
In Part 5 of The Garden and The Gospel, Pastor Jeremy challenges us to look at the response of Adam and Eve and ask ourselves, who are we blaming in life? Is it God? Is it other people? Perhaps, it's even the Devil? The response of Adam invites us to look for the greater Adam, the One who will come and not blame His bride, but set out to redeem her.

The Anatomy of Temptation
Do you know the feeling of shame and loneliness that comes from sin? Have you every found yourself in the despair of guilt and wondered how you got there? If we're honest, we can all relate to this reality and so can our first parents: Adam and Eve. In this story of a tree, a serpent, a forbidden fruit and a man and a woman, we find that the strategy of the enemy and the components of temptation don't change. We learn how to fight temptation and overcome sin and we learn that sin takes hold when we begin to doubt God's word and God's goodness.

Fork in the Road
We make decisions every day. Right now you are choosing to read this. You also have the option to listen to this sermon or not. It is a lie to think we did not have a choice, or we do not have the time, or we did not know it was sinful, etc. When you faced a "fork in the road" about submitting to Jesus or not - you had a choice. Even today, if you are a Christian, you still face a choice, "Will I follow Him or not?"
