Romans 12 is a critical chapter in the book of Romans. In chapters 12-16, Paul outlined the effect that salvation should have in a person’s life. He began with life in the church. He incorporated an important New Testament illustration of the church.
This message concludes a three-week series entitled “Evergreen” that gives attention to three spiritual realities that are forever with each believer, but that we can too often neglect. With Romans 12:3-8 as the foundation, this sermon prepares the way for Christmas Day with exploration of the spiritual giftedness that comes with knowing Christ as Saviour and being part of Christ’s church.
Many sermons on spiritual gifts look at individual gifts, but in this sermon we are going to take a step back and look at the Gifts as a whole rather than at the gifts individually. We are going to look at what the gifts mean to the church more so than what the gifts mean to you or to me as individual Christians.
