"Why The First Coming of Jesus Christ?" The nation of Israel looked for a Messiah who would come as a conqueror, yet, Jesus came as a Servant who was about the will of God. As we continue to explore the prophesies of the first advent, we come to the passage in Isaiah 61.1-2 that prophesied the Messiah to be with the Spirit of God anointed to preach the good news, bind up the broken hearted, and to free the captives - and to proclaim the Year of the Lord's Favor.
