Sermons About Spiritual-war
Choose today who you will serve
In both the Old Testament and the New Testament there came a time to chose what path you will take. In the Old Testament Joshua put that question to the Israelites. In the New Testament, as Jesus teaches his disciples who He is and what that means, the teaching becomes too hard for some and they leave. Jesus asks the twelve if they too will leave as some have done. Throughout our life, God puts the question to us each day. Who will we serve? Who will we follow? We may believe we make these decisions in a vacuum but we don't. We are influenced by our fallen and sinful human flesh, the peer pressure of this world, and the enemy of God. We are in the midst of a great spiritual war and if we are not armored up and immersed in God's Word we will make bad choices with eternal consequences.

This chapter is the first in a series which focus on Satan's strategies and Scriptural counterstrategies for overcoming his deceptive tactics. "Strategies" are the science of forming and carrying out military operations. They are the methods or plans which lead to victory.

Life Is A Battle
Life is a battle. We'll always be in a spiritual battle until the day Christ returns. No one knows when that day will be but there's a weapon to help us. That weapon of praise. Praising the Lord wins the battle to come out of ourselves.

The Prayer of Faith Shall Save the Sick
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
