Conflict And Community: Jesus' Story And Your Story
Each of you has a story which has been written on your heart by your experiences, family, teachers, friends and culture. This story shapes everything about you: how you view God, how you respond to the news, how you spend your time and money, how you relate to other people, and how you view yourself. Connecting your story with the true story of the Risen Jesus gives you a radically new story of death, life and yourself.

Reconciliation through Christ Alone
In order for us to understand the significance of Easter, we must first understand what happened at the beginning of creation. We cannot understand the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ without first exploring how it all began--in the garden of Eden. When this is accomplished, however, every story in the Bible falls into place and the story of the Bible points to one person--the person of Jesus Christ.

The Power of Story
At Harbor, we believe that our story is part of a much larger and grander narrative; one that breathes significance and purpose into our own. In this sermon Jed points us to the teaching of Paul in 2 Corinthians where we learn that God has given us the task of reconciliation; of saying to people, 'you can come back to God.' We get to be a part of introducing people to God's story.

Living In 3D
Our mission at Harbor of Hope is to help people find their way back to God, and this sermon contains practical instruction on how each of us can partner with our Creator to do so. Jed encourages us, that as believers we need to talk less and listen more; we need to care about people & develop relationships, not because it makes for a good marketing strategy for God, but because it's a relfection of God's priorities.

The Story of Us: God will lead this community through this pillar family
Our mission is to be a pillar family – 60 years from now. That “those who believe through our words†be they our children or our neighbors, would continue to represent King Jesus to the people in this place for the glory of God and the good our community. The pillar of fire in the Bible tells the story of God leading His people into His place under His rule – His Kingdom. That is what He did with the pillar fire through the desert, the pillar of Jesus through sin and death and now God is leading this community by the pillar of this local church.
