Sermons About Strength
How to Have God Come to Your Aid
Paul had many wonderful experiences and special privileges as an Apostle of Jesus Christ but he also had an infirmity in the flesh; a disability of some sort that God allowed to remain in his life to serve as a constant reminder of his own personal weakness and his need for God's strength. Paul earnestly sought the Lord three times to remove this infirmity, but God taught Paul, and teaches us a very important lesson through all this: God's strength is made perfect in weakness.

Pt. 4, Coming Clean: The Housecleaning Choice
This weekend Pastor Jeremy talked about being real rather than being religious. He refers to Matthew 5:8. To begin our spiritual housecleaning we need to recognize our weakness and reach out to God for his strength. He asks that we are pure and honest; not perfect! By being in God's word, praying, walking with the Holy Spirit and recognizing our weakness we can be close to God.

Saved from Religion
Courage is the inner strength to stand against the odds, and face difficulty for a higher cause. C.S. Lewis once said “courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point.” Today in the Word we focus on Paul’s trials. These are more than legal trials, they are also spiritual. In our current culture we tend to choose the path that is easy and expedient, rather than difficult and right one. Jesus died to save us from sin and to call us from cowardice to courage. This is wonderfully illustrated in the life of Paul in Acts 22 and 23.

When You Don't Know What To Do
Sometimes in life you just don't know what to do. There is something inside all of us that knows that we aren't going to get a crystal ball that warns us of every possible misstep in life. And we can't "map quest” our lives so that we print out driving directions to happy town. But what can we do when we don't know what to do? Psalm 1 is a great place to begin to get an answer to that question.

Psalm 51 shows us no matter how badly you have blown it, no matter how broken your life seems because you have blown it, you can find strength to recover and to live strong in God.

God's Word & Your Health
God's words indicate in many places that your health can improve and your days can be lengthened by reading, hearing, and applying them on a daily basis. For example, read Deut 4:40, Deut 5:33, Deut 11:8, Deut 30:15-17, 1Kings 3:14, Amos 8:11, etc.
