Easter: Seeing the Risen Jesus
Many of us have heard about Jesus, we've read some scriptures about him, we've listened to sermons about him, but even in all of that it is possible to still not recognize Jesus when we see him. Sometimes our understanding of who he is clouds our ability to recognize when he is revealing himself or when he is at work. At the end of the day, each of us needs a personal encounter with Jesus and who he really is, rather than who we think he is. We have to encounter him on his own terms rather than ours. In this sermon we look at two men who were walking with Jesus down the road and didn't recognize him until he revealed himself through the cross, their sin and the breaking of bread.
