The Gift of Teaching
One of the significant contributions of Martin Luther during the reformation was when he rediscovered the doctrine of the Priesthood of Believers. In this doctrine, Luther has emphasized the privilege and the responsibility of all believers. The concept of privilege applies to the direct access which all believers enjoy through Jesus Christ. Back in the Old Testament, the common Israelite cannot approach the presence of God without the mediatoral access provided by priests. For responsibility, the doctrine teaches that believers must share the love of Jesus Christ to others. Clearly, if you are some who has been called out from darkness, or someone freed from sins by the blood of Jesus, you are a priest before God. This is indeed as awesome privilege!

Risk Takers
With all the volatility in the markets this week, one of the last words anyone wants to hear is “RISKâ€! The Bible tells us God promises His children security, peace, and assurance. Yet, it is clear that Jesus values risk. After all, He said…â€For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.†(Matthew 16:25). Is this a contradiction? Or, is it possible to have peace WHILE losing our life for the King and His Kingdom?
