The Faithful Son
In this message from Luke's account of the temptation of Jesus, Pastor JR Vassar explains what was at the heart of the temptation for Jesus to turn stones into bread. Not only do we see Jesus emerge as the Faithful Son who is qualified to be our Savior, but we also see how we can be faithful sons and daughters even as we encounter the same temptation.

A Fresh Start - Part 2
"The Christian life is a life of war. It's not a playground for children, but a battleground for soldiers. The battle is relentless and ruthless. It finds us wherever we go. There is no escape. We cannot hide. There is no peace treaty to sign, no white flag to raise, no demilitarized zone. Every believer is enlisted and placed on the front lines." (Adrian Rogers)

Law and Sin (Romans 7:7-12)
God’s purpose for the law is to reveal sin in our lives and to bring conviction of sin when we have failed to obey the law’s command. The presence and power of sin in the life of the unbeliever when confronted with the law produces even more sin. The only acceptable way to resolve our miserable condition under law with sin is to savingly believe the gospel and place our trust in Jesus Christ. Only He can remove this just condemnation by His vicarious atonement on the cross.

Nobody's Fault But Mine - James 1:13-15
When we do wrong things, there's a tendency to place the blame on anyone or anything but us: our spouses, our parents, our upbringing, our ethnicity, the Devil, or even God himself. In reality, the blame belongs to us and us alone. The sooner we realize and believe that, the sooner we can see that our own sin leads us to death, while God leads us to live through Jesus Christ.
