Faith Is Worth It
No one denies it—we live in a world where bad things happen. This has caused more than a few to reject faith. Yet, the Bible does not portray the faith life as trouble free. Far from it. Virtually all Bible characters were beset by trials. Yet, in spite of it all, they considered faith their greatest asset. That is true of most who have ever lived lives of faith. If you have never tried faith, you should. Its better than any alternative. Gen 14, 21; 1Sam 17; 2Sam 11-15; Acts 9; Acts 19:11-12; Acts 20:7-12; 2Cor 11:23ff; Jn 16:33; Psalm 23, 62; Php 3:5-14

The Impact of the Gift - Test Me
We can find freedom in the truth. Two truths are we can find freedom in truth and people simply neglect to do what they know they need to do. Our freedom calls us to action. The tithe was the action God expected from his children. Our action is rewarded by the freedom provider. We're promised God's provision if we put Him to the test. It's not about seeing and believing, but believing and then seeing. Ask yourself will I allow God to prove himself to me through the test? When God says, "Let it pour", look out!

We Study to Remember
What goes through the mind of an apostle? We can never know for certain - aside aside from what is written in the Bible that is. Yet what we have in the Bible is only "half" of the conversation. In other words, we think so much more than we speak or write. Yet by looking at the text of 1 Thessalonians, taking insights from the historical background of the first century, and considering information contained in the book of Acts, we can deduce some concerns Paul may have had about the young "church" in Thessalonica.

Are You on the Right Road
If we are on the right road with God, there ought to be some signs along the way letting us know we are still on the right path. What are some of these markers? They may not be what you think. Key verses: Acts 4:32-5, 2Cor 13:5, Psalm 42, Matt 5:6, Lk 10:25ff, 1Peter 1:3ff, Rev 2
