The words "broken" and "blessing" don't typically go together. Brokeness implies pain, suffering, and testing. It's not the easy road, but brokenness is one of God's primary tools to rid us of self-reliance and to bring us to a place of total God-reliance . . . the place of ultimate blessing.

In times of trouble we need someone to talk to God for us- there is no one better for that than Jesus, the exalted Son of God who was tested like us and is now able to grant us mercy and grace.
