Sermons about Thirst
There is a true spiritual thirst that nothing on this earth can satisfy. It is quenched only in a relationship to God as it is brought through Jesus Christ.
Jesus, the very source of living water, thirsts.
Have you ever been really hungry and thirsty? The stronger our hunger and thirst becomes the more we become preoccupied with it and we become focused on having it satisfied. Learn what this has to do with our relationship with Jesus in this message from Matthew 5 verse 6
Like the human body is made to need water, so our spirits are made to need God. We do great harm to ourselves when we seek to fulfill our need for living water by digging broken cisterns which can never satisfy. The reactions people have to Jesus are varied and often polarized. This message looks at how Jesus deals with each of us differently but in every case is seeking to move us off the "comfortable middle" to be either hot or cold in relationship to Him. It also asks the question, "What thirst am I aware of in my life/soul currently that Jesus is offering himself to satisfy as the Water of Life?"
Actively and aggressively pursue God and His ways because a deep yearning for God paves the way to wholeness.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness.

What's the best invitation you have ever received? This week Pastor Jeremy argues that this is the greatest invitation because of 1) who the invitation is given by, 2) who it is given to, 3) what we're invited to, 4) what the invitation requires, and 5) what it promises to those who come!
