For many in our nation, this week brings with it a celebration of life. The celebration of the sanctity of human life, as well as the remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. together weave a reminder that God intends for all of us to live life to the fullest. I know of no better week to go back to the beginning and talk about the beginning of all things: creation. Perhaps you know the story, perhaps you don’t. It’s okay either way. The important question is not the what, it’s the why? WHY is there something rather than nothing?? As C.S. Lewis said, “Any patch of sunlight in a wood will show you something about the sun which you could never get from reading books on astronomy.”
Even Christ's Kingdom Seemed Tiny
When Jesus tells the disciples the parable of the mustard seed, it is a reminder that God brings tremendous transformation out of humble, seemingly insignificant beginnings.
