Despite numerous warnings, on April 14, 1912 at 11:40 pm the RMS Titanic struck an iceberg. Two hours and 40 minutes later it slipped beneath the waves, ultimately taking over 1500 people to their deaths. There were three ships in the immediate vicinity; one captain's excuse was that he was just a cargo ship; another fled so not to reveal their illegal hunting activities [sin]; only the farthest, the Carpathia, responded. The Church is to be the Carpathia and by faith and planning strive towards achieving God's objectives for a lost world.
