Zip it - Gossip
Our culture has turned gossip into a commodity that is bought and sold. We have made talking about others in a negative way the norm. Paul calls our mouth an open sewage leak and encourages that we build up others with our words instead.

Speak to the mountain
Summary: Our words are what we use to attack the enemy. When we say what God says to our enemies, it’s like shooting bullets at them. When we talk the problem, it’s like throwing cookies at them. Our words are the bullet, our mouth is the gun, but love is the firing pin. We have got to get God’s word in our mouth and fire at the enemy that’s standing in our way. We have to speak to the mountain. Don’t ask God to do anything about it, stop crying about it. Stop talking about how big it is, stop telling everyone you meet that will listen to you how big it is, and speak to it. Command it to go!

Going Multiethnic Is God's Idea
Going multiethnic stems from the mind of Christ. It is not optional--it is a mandate. In John 17 Jesus prays for the unity of those that were to become believers later on and desired that they be with Him in heaven to see His glory. Rev. 5 gives a glimpse of the makeup of this group--very multiethnic--every tribe and language and people and nation. At the beginning of civilization right after the flood, God intentionally confused language and scattered people all over the earth. The Great commission in Matthew 28 instructs us to make disciples of all nations. God gets more glory from the unity of believers the more diverse and multiethnic they are. He is a God that scatters and a God that gathers.

Soul Prosperity
We need to live in God’s righteousness, peace and joy on the inside all the time, not just cry out to God for it when we are in a crisis. Our soul is prospering when we are walking in step with Holy Spirit.

Speak! Part 4 - Detoxing The Tongue
By default, our tongues can be filled with toxic venom. God's words, in stark contrast, are like warm, soothing, healing oil poured over a person’s wounds. The awesome news is, the God who made your tongue can detox your tongue, filling your mouth with words that bring life, healing and grace to those who hear!

Speak! Part 3 - The Amazing Power of the Tongue
The sad reality is that while our tongues are contained in a cage of teeth and lips, they still escape. It is not intelligence that keeps the lock on that cage; it is wisdom & it’s the power of God that can control it. We need to pray what David prayed in Psalm 141:3 "Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips." Why? Because the tongue has amazing power.

Speak! Part 2 - The High Cost of Free Speech
Can we speak freely? As Americans we're grateful to have the right to free speech, but as citizens of God's Kingdom, do we have freedom to speak without consequences? Consider the high cost of free speech if as Proverbs says, "death and life are in the power of the tongue!"

Tamed
Taming the tongue is not optional. The tongue, that slab of mucous membrane incarcerated within our teeth, has great power to hurt and curse; but under the right control it has even greater power to heal and bless. James imparts God’s desire to tame the tongue by transforming the heart.
