God has said that only a perfect, or mature person can tame the tongue. The history of the world has borne witness to the fact that the greatest good, greatest evil, or most significant events are often associated with the tongue. Therefore, as only the Holy Spirit can take a dead soul and give them life, so only He can give the power to tame the tongue and only the life yielded to Him can know the power of a tongue that is an instrument for righteousness.
