Truth - Jesus in the Old Testament: The Law
Tina offers a compelling argument that Jesus, the Way the Truth and the Life, is the living expression of the God who began his mission to redeem mankind in Genesis 12 with the calling of Abraham & Sarah and their descendants, a mission he brought to near completion in his Son, Jesus. She paints a clear picture of Jesus, the Truth.
Creation and Torah
God gives order and beauty to nature by creating it. God gives order to humans by giving us the law or Torah. Both nature and humankind are expected to be as constant, but we as human's struggle with following God's teachings and guidance which are centered around love. May we be reminded to reconnect to God by being still and knowing God is God and loving one another as yourself.
Stand Firm in Christian Freedom, Part 3
Christianity is freedom not bondage. In Galatians 5:1, Paul gives two key insights concerning Christian freedom. First, he states the fact of Christian freedom (v. 1a). The purpose of Christ’s redemption was to bring about the freedom of the believer. Second, he sets forth the response to this freedom (v. 1b). The response of the believer is to stand firm in this freedom. These two key insights embody the argument of the whole letter. Since the Galatians were not children of Hagar—the slave woman—but sons of Sarah—the free woman (v. 31) they are to stand firm in this freedom by the power of the Holy Spirit and not return to living under the slavery of law, whether it is the Mosaic Covenant or any kind of legal system.

Listen to the Law!, Part 5
In Galatians 4:21-31, Paul appeals to the analogy of Hagar and Sarah to illustrate how those who rely on self-effort end up in sin and bondage whereas those who trust in God’s promise receive salvation and freedom.
Pentecost: Renewing the Covenant
Pentecost - fifty days after passover. A celebration of the giving of the Law. But this time it is Jesus who ascends the mountain, and instead of tablets of stone he sends down the Spirit. Pentecost renews Torah, renews the Temple (living stones) and renews the covenant - based on the work of Christ.
Listen to the Law!, Part 4
In Galatians 4:21-31, Paul appeals to the analogy of Hagar and Sarah to illustrate how those who rely on self-effort end up in sin and bondage whereas those who trust in God’s promise receive salvation and freedom.
