The Cornerstone
With Christ as our Cornerstone, we are called to live as living stones - characterized by growth, maturity, refinement and renewal - all parts of the transformational work that He is doing in us to make us into the image of the The Cornerstone. A Worshipful Community
Sermon on Romans 12:1-8 by Dr. John Oakes, January 23, 2011, Holy Trinity, Vancouver.
Changed by the Spirit (not by law or license)
What give us the power to change? What does a changed life look like? And why is it so hard to change? Galatians was written to show that what Jesus has done is bring the power to change into the world. That power is found in walking, living and being lead by the Spirit. Listen to find out what that means.
As Obedient Children
How do we respond to our adoption as sons & daughters of God through the work of Christ? As obedient children, seeking to live as He lives within the Kingdom of God, because we see who He is and live out our lives in response to that. This is only done through the transforming work of Christ in our own lives through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Together in Purpose
What does it mean to have joy? Why should we still believe in the church when so many people have been hurt by it? As we open our new sermon series, and the letter to the Christians Philippi, we will begin to understand more and more why Paul was living in such great joy, even while penning this letter in prison.
