Words are cheap. People of faith must be people of action, involving ourselves in the lives of others.

How to be alone with God
"Solitude begins with a time and place for God, and Him alone. If we really believe not only that God exists, but that He is actively present in our lives--healing, teaching, and guiding--we need to set aside a time and space to give Him our undivided attention." (Henri Nouwen)

There's always a next step
This Sermon begins our “Next Steps” series by laying the foundation for spiritual transformation. If your journey with Christ is lacking in consistency and sometimes passion, if you are battling doubts, if you are not presently experiencing the joy of “living with Christ”, then this series is a must for you. If you are lacking in any of these then I would beg you to make it a personal priority to attend each service in this series. There is nothing more significant than living in the joy of the Kingdom of God.

Morphology
John Calvin – one of the great thinkers of the Protestant Reformation - insisted that it was important for Christians to understand that Jesus did not have a new body, he had a changed body, and that when we are resurrected our mortal bodies will be changed as well – not just made new. The distinction between “new” and “changed” is not an insignificant one.

Surrendering in Freedom-Faith - Galatians #14
What makes the Christian faith like no other? The good news of God’s grace is the bold claim that we are accepted by God not because we “follow the rules” or “fit the mold” but because Jesus gave his own life to rescue us. But many of us are still trying to earn God’s love with our performance rather than living in the freedom that Jesus has provided for us. In Galatians, Paul warns against the danger of religious systems that value people on grounds of accomplishment or status or cultural agreement. These things lock away our freedom in the futility of legalism, moral superiority and cultural arrogance. Focusing on either the racial/ethnic/cultural superiority or the moral successes of good works denies the gospel and divides Jesus’ followers. Join us as we explore how God offers us true freedom in Jesus and how the freedom of Christ transforms our hearts, our minds and lives.

Unstoppable Partners
Everyone has a part to play in the mission of Christ. When the church partners together as disciples, God is glorified and people are reached with a message of hope. We are commanded to go on an unstoppable mission: to go and make disciples, knowing that we are empowered by Christ.
