Growth
We admit it. We have an agenda: we want you to join the church. All believers in Jesus in every time and place are members of the universal church, but committing to a local church is a vital part of the spiritual life for every Christ-follower. In our teaching series, CHURCH 101, we are taking several weeks to describe the foundational commitments of church membership. Our members are those who have accepted the mission of helping others become passionate followers of Jesus through the ministry and community of this church. Over the next few weeks, we will discuss what that means as we explore practically how we can live for Jesus as a part of His church.

It's A Gift! Barriers to Believing: Ephesians 2:8-10
One of the chief barriers to believing the Gospel is the fact that it is a gift of God and there is nothing we can do to earn it. The fact of God's gift is also the greatest hope we have for endurance and transformation, because we are secure in the Gift Giver

Holy Rebellion
It’s Time for You to Experience Holy Rebellion! Matthew 10:32-39; Mark 5:25-29; 7:24-30; 10:46-52; Rom. 12:1-2 The start of a new year is always a great time to get things in order and even have a new beginning! One way to initiate change, progress, and new beginnings is to “rebel†against things in your life that have been holding you back, down, and out! Don’t acquiesce any longer! Awake out of your complacency! For Jesus’ sake, and for the sake of your soul, REBEL! First, make a list of the things for which you are truly grateful. How is the goodness of God visible in your life? What are the things of which you are sick-and-tired? What are the things in your life that seem “okay†but you know their “grip†on your life will eventually lead to misery and destruction? Identify them and “rebelâ€! Who are your “partners-in-rebellionâ€? Who’s holding you accountable?

Believing God and His Promises: Simeon: Christmas Sunday: Luke 2:21-35
A Promise is only as good as the person giving the promise. And, in the life of Simeon, we see someone who understands that God is a promise-keeping God and can be infinitely trusted. Do we believe God and his promises? Do we find the culmination of all of our hopes in the Christ... Jesus?
