Sermons About Transparency
Christ and the Transparency of His People
Every one of us says that we dislike hypocrites - people who pretend to be what they are not. Yet, truth be told, we are all hypocrites. We are all actors. In our relationships with other people we do not allow them to see our true selves, we allow them to see the character we have created for ourselves. This character is attractive and is designed to appeal to our audience and to protect our true self from being exposed. It's not that we don't want to be known. We just don't want certain parts of us to be known. So we wear masks. This is simply the reality of our lives. But as the People of God we are called and empowered to be transparent to the deepest level. Listen in as we explore what causes us to wear masks and what frees us from our need from them.
