Resisting The Devil Part 3
7 steps to resisting the Devil. The enemy, Satan, has a plan. God would rather hear you say I'm sorry a thousand times than hear you say I quit. If you are in the middle of the fellowship of Christians you will be safer from the attack of Satan than on the fringes of the fellowship.

The Cross that Conquers You: Paying your dues
Marching towards Easter we join Jesus marching towards the cross. See the great compassion with which Jesus addresses your obstacles and then...He asks you to bow. My hope in these messages is that the cross upon which Jesus conquered sin becomes the cross which conquers you. Our Jesus has his authority challenged by a group of hypocrites who want the Roman Empire to do their dirty work. But He refuses to play their game and reasserts his authority over every nation and every individual. We must be careful to avoid similar hypocrisy, avoid falling into the hypocrites trap and we must be render to both Caesar and to God.

That The Son of Man May Be Lifted Up
"Why did Jesus come?" It's an important question, and many times Jesus told us why. Through December we have been looking at some of the statements Jesus made about his mission. Last Sunday (28st December) we thought about some more of Jesus' words we don't normally associate with Christmas. In John 12:27, while speaking to the crowds, Jesus said: ...for this purpose I have come to this hour... What was "this hour"? Of course, Jesus was referring to his coming death. In this sermon we find the purpose of his death in three words: judgement, triumph and attraction.

The Battle for the City
Faithfulness to God's plan will lead to opposition from God's enemies. We will grow weary, afraid and discouraged. We can persevere through prayer and preparation when we remember who God is and how Jesus has worked for us, works in us & through us.
