It is essential to understand the relationship between the cross and the sufferings of humanity. How then does the cross speak to us in times of pain and suffering? I want to give you two truths (there are many more!) on how the cross speaks to us in our suffering.
This is a sermon from the life of Elijah. This great man of God forgot the great things in the moment of trouble. He just needed God’s assurance. He was out on the mountain, expecting to die, but God had other plans. It is a message about discerning God's voice. God is there and He is listening. The mission for this sermon is to tell you how to find the voice of God and get the assurance you need.
God is for us. God didn't even spare his own son... for us. God gave him up... for us. God will give us everything else he has... for us. God has given us right standing with himself. Christ died... for us.. was raised... for us. Christ pleads.. for us. We will experience trouble and pain, but, victory is ours - already ours - through Christ. Nothing will ever be able to separate us from the love of God, revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
As we move more into 2011 we are going to see an increase of fear as events within the world race towards the climax of this present age. We will witness strange phenomenon all over the world, earthquake, tsunami, storms and disease will intensify in addition to war and famine of the earth. The cost of living, soaring fuel costs, a reduction in the world economy, and increase in crime etc.
