Sermons About Unity
United for a Purpose (1 Corinthians 1:10-17)
Paul appeals to the Corinthians to walk in unity. Pride was creating factionalism in the Corinthian church. Humility was the answer; a humility that embraces the ugliness and offense of the cross. Intent on One Purpose
Philippians 2:1-8 The greatest danger to any group is disunity. Whether it's a family, an athletic team, a workplace or a church, selfishness is that destructive part of human nature that separates and divides a group. Although Paul was writing to a healthy church in Philippi, he warned them of this danger and encouraged them to be united - of one heart and mind - in their fellowship together.
