Sermons About Value
Content with what we do
As the writer of Ecclesiastes reminds us, without God everything we do is ultimately fruitless; meaningless. But with God, we can be content in our work; contentment frees us from the "if only"s; we are where we are to do Gods sovereign will. We should not value ourselves by what we do, because God has already valued us - he paid for us with His Son. Therefore, it's not for others to judge our worth, nor should we judge the worth of others by their job, character or any other attribute. We all have different gifts, roles or functions that we must faithfully use for the good of the whole body of Christ. God has made us as he has, to paly a particular part. We can serve God in all things, and it is He who gives us strength (Col 3:22-24).

We can say it will never be like it use to be, but that doesn't mean it can't be better. God will always challenge us to stay in his house. God's church will always be challenged to stay focused on Him .

We are Made in God's Likeness
We typically find our worth in man's approval, our pay grade, our athleticism, our beauty, etc. But our true value and intrinsic worth is because we reflect the Creator of the universe. We are made in God's likeness. This likeness to God is corrupted in Adam but restored through Christ.
