You Are Worth Something
This sermon reminds us of how much we are worth because of what Jesus did for us. We are valuable, we are glorious, we are worth something not because of what we have done, but because of what God has done. It is an encouragment for those who are down, depressed, or lacking self-esteem.

Retro - The 70's (Find Yourself)
The 70's were all about finding yourself in whatever it was that made you feel good about yourself. Often times we find ourselves in things this world communicates as important and we're missing on who we truly are. Phil McArdle

A Good Return
Invest yourself in any venture, and you want to see a good return...it's simply human nature. No one wants to spend time, money or energy on a project or enterprise that seems to be headed no where...or as the saying goes..."no one wants to be the last rat on a sinking ship..." Not only is this principle of investment true in our own lives – in the pursuits we choose to take up – but it is equally true when we entrust our valuable goods to others; leave your children with a sitter – you expect all to be well when you come home! Leave your house for the neighbors to watch while on vacation – you anticipate they will look after things! Leave your money with a financial planner – you expect it to grow! In the kingdom of God, God is the investor. He has placed His possessions in our hands to steward...our time, our talents, our money, and He looks for a good return... Key Passage: Matthew 25:14-30

Going on a Treasure Hunt
Summer is a great time to go on an adventure, and today we're talking about hunting for hidden treasures. Treasure hunting is popular these days, thanks to movies and books which advance the theme of treasures waiting to be uncovered. But are people after the right kind of treasure? What does Jesus have to say about the whole concept of treasure hunting? And what are we willing to spend to uncover what He describes as the most valuable treasure? Key Passage: Matthew 13:44-46

Worth Dying For
At the beginning of all things we find God creating humanity in his image. Because of that lone event humanity is deeply loved and valued by our Creator. Playing on those early statements we find the apostle Paul clarify the relationship between a husband and a wife. But his statements have great significance for all our relationships.

Valuing Humanity
The culmination of God's creative activity is the creation of humanity in his own image. We reflect what God is like all the way down to the level of our gender. The question we have to wrestle with is, "Does God love me because of what I do or does God love me just because I'm me?" The answer that emerges in the Scriptures beginning in Genesis is that God loves us because he created us, end of story.
