Jesus In the Old Testament
Reasons to look for Jesus in the old testament and some tools to help do so.
Where There is No Vision, the Children Perish
Proverbs 29:18 has often been preached with a completely different slant than what the original language reveals. This verse has a powerful truth for our nation, our churches and our homes. The proclamation of the Word of God has a big impact on the moral fiber of each of these entities and the failure to proclaim the Word or water down its message results in a "looseness" in the lives of its members. Godly Fathers in the home can make a major difference in the lives of their children when they apply the truth contained in this Proverb.

Getting There III: Imitation
The church, like all organizations, needs direction. All churches are called to make disciples, but no two churches are alike. How does the church best achieve this mission? The vision of the church is the destination of where the church is going. Proverbs tells us that without vision, the people die. We invite you to join with us as we look at the vision of Suwanee First UMC to see where God is leading us and to know how we are “Getting There.” This week we conclude our series by exploring how we can be imitators of Christ.
The Paralysed Man At Bethsaida
Jesus encounters a paralysed man lying by a poolside, and God's Spirit reveals to him the man's condition. Knowing God has sent him to touch the man's life, Jesus approaches him and asks him, "would you like to get well?". From this, the man receives God's healing and gets up and walks. Thus Jesus demonstrates prophetic vision to see what no one else could see. For someone who sees things like this, nothing is impossible.
Getting There II: Celebration
The church, like all organizations, needs direction. All churches are called to make disciples, but no two churches are alike. How does the church best achieve this mission? The vision of the church is the destination of where the church is going. Proverbs tells us that without vision, the people die. We invite you to join with us as we look at the vision of Suwanee First UMC to see where God is leading us and to know how we are “Getting There.” This week we continue our series by exploring how we celebrate the life God has given us.
