The Walk of Faith
Abraham's life was a life of walking with God by faith. The Characteristics of Abraham's Righteousness are: 1)Abraham's Righteousness Came Before Circumcision. The circumcision was a external sign of an internal reality. Outward signs of inward reality today are - Baptism & Communion. 2)Abrahm's Righteiousness Serves as a Model for the Nations. We need to be led by the spirit of God as to what to do and it shouldn't be tied to salvation. We also need to abstain if it causes a brother to stumble.

The prayer of despair after failed expectations
Ken Stebbins preaches the 5th sermon in our Elijah: Man of Prayer series. "Elijah was a man with a nature like ours": when Elijah's expectations were not all fulfilled, he panicked and fled for his life. At this time his prayers show a feeling of utter failure. But God had not forsaken him. We would do well to also trust and obey our Almighty Lord.
