Matthew 6:10b, Your Will Be Done
In this sermon Pastor Joshua Claycamp shows that praying for God's help in doing God's will is an incredibly serious matter! Apart from God's assistance, we will have a difficult time doing what God wants!
The Will of God
In this sermon we look at who belongs to the family of God.
OPC in 2020
Scripture: 1 Samuel 2:26, 3:1-21; Matthew 28:16-20 The basics of determining the will of God. The session is trying to discern what God wants this church to look like in seven years. There are a couple of boundaries for discerning the will of God: The Kingdom of God is at hand. That we are committed to the coming Kingdom of God. That we are committed to bringing the light of the Gospel to the world. Once we discern that direction, then invest our resources to that direction and goal. Are we committed to God's way and not our way? How do you discover God's will?
Pray as Servants of the King
This week we are moving on to the second and third petition of the Lord's prayer. As followers of Christ we should be praying for his kingdom and his will to be done. Listen as pastor Jody Sledge calls us to understand what it means to pray for these things and how we should do it.
Walking in the Wisdom of the Lord
As we are continuing in our series through the second half of Ephesians, we see Paul calling us to walk in yet another way - in the wisdom of the Lord. We are called to put off foolishness and drunkenness and to understand God's will and be filled with the Spirit. Listen as pastor Jody Sledge calls us to see these truths and put them into practice.
Hunger: An Earnest Beggar for Grace
Pastor Todd preaches on yet another hallmark of the real Christian: hunger for God and his word that overflows in every aspect of the Christian’s life. Learn what this hunger feels like in your life, how to develop it, satisfy it and yet grow it all at the same time.
Walking With The Father
In pursuing God, we not only seek his Person, we also seek his purpose.
The Surrender Exchange
Have you ever felt like you were going in circles in your Christian life? God speaks to your heart about an issue, you surrender to Him, do your best to right the wrong only to find yourself failing in the same area again and again. What is the problem? Often it is linked to an incomplete surrender. This message describes two vital facets of surrender and likens them to rowing a boat. The boat makes good progress as long as both oars are in the water. However, the absence of either oar, or both at the same time, makes for little progress and much frustration.
The Jesus Way - Part 1
As we are called to live standing in protest to the broken and failing world around us, we face those who may not so much in favor of us calling broken what we call to be broken. This may cause us to be relegated to the outside of social, personal, and family circles. It would be far to easy to stay there - but instead He call us to follow Jesus in the Way of Jesus - back into the fray. We must stand in protest for those who are but a few degrees different than we - wholly created by God, but trying desperately to stay clear of His kingdom. We look at the story of the Prodigal Sons, seeking to see how we too are broken, but at our core He has fixed us, and is maturing us through discipline, maturing and love to make us into instruments to declare abroad His mighty deeds to those still in the darkness.
