When God Does a New Work
Who was the man Jesus of Nazareth? Was he really the Son of God? Why was he rejected and killed? Did he really come back to life? If He's alive today, what does it look like to follow Him? These are the questions burning at the heart of Mark's Gospel. Join us as we explore the answers to these questions and see what it means, perhaps for the first time, to know and follow Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Standing Out - ENGAGE #4
In this series, we will study Daniel 1-6. There are many parallels between the situation Daniel faced and our situation today. Like Daniel, we work and live among a great variety of gods--not only those of other formal religions, but also the gods of achievement, independence, knowledge, pleasure, and ideology. In a religiously diverse culture which is at best indifferent and at worst hostile to faith in the one true God, what role should Christ-followers play in society? Rather than isolating ourselves or rejecting our world, we want to ENGAGE our world as people who trust in a powerful God, make positive contributions to society, and bring hope to others. If you've ever wondered how Monday-Saturday were related to Sunday, this series is for you.

Sacred Joy: Philippians 1.3-11
As Paul begins his letter to the church at Philippi he reveals his gratitude to God for the church's commitment to the gospel and to Paul's ministry. Their partnership in the gospel gives Paul much joy as he prays for them. He has such joy and affection for the church because they are walking in the truth. What gives you the greatest joy? For Paul it is the work that God is continuing to do in his brothers and sisters in Philippi. No doubt Paul would have much reason to be down and lonely while in prison, but his circumstances do not affect his joy and prayers for these in Philippi. The gospel has such power as it reconciles sinful people not only to God, but to each other. The gospel is what holds Paul and the Philippians together even though they are apart. The gospel must take first place in both our relationships and prayers.

Finding Satisfaction at Work
What does our work have to do with our core identity and purpose? For some of us, work functions as the answer to the questions, "Who am I?" and "Why am I here?" If we put work in this place, we elevate to the place of worship. If we don't worship work, what does it mean to worship through our work? That's the focus of this message.
