Creation Matters
The God of all creation. The whole theme of the earth and environment is something that fills the bible from Genesis to Revelation and yet most Christians close their eyes to it. Here we look at some of the biblical themes of New Creation and our role as tenants and stewards of the planet. Are we good tenants at the moment? Probably not. Let God Arise
Let God Arise “Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?†1 John 5:5 “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in Him.†1 John 2:15 “The world exerts a terrible influence over the Christian that does not know that, in Christ, he/she has been crucified to the world. Most Christians are either utterly ignorant of the danger of a worldly spirit, or they feel themselves utterly powerless to conquer it.†Andrew Murray David knew pain, misunderstanding, betrayal, sin; yet, in it all he rises in faith and writes- “The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let the God of my salvation be exalted.†Ps. 18:46 “Let God arise and His enemies be scattered.†Ps. 68:1 Job experienced a seeming abandonment from God and knew loss on all fronts; yet, in the middle of it all he declares - “Though He slay me yet will I trust Him. He also shall be my salvation.†Job 13:15-16 “I know that my Redeemer lives….†Job 19:25 Habakkuk wrestles with God over the sins of his people. He accepts the reality that he will also suffer along with the people simply because he is a part of the sinful nation. He concludes – “Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines…..and there be no herd in the stalls – yet will I rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength.†Hab. 3:17-19 It is only as we are led by the Spirit every day in all situations that we can abide in Christ, conquering the flesh and the world. It is only as we are filled with the Spirit that the promise of Jesus can be fully understood and experienced: “Lo I am with you always…†Matthew 28:20

God's Love for His People
As Paul challenges husbands about loving their wives, he bases that challenge in the incomparable love that God has for His people, a love seen most clearly in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the church. It is this picture that challenges not only husbands, but all of us with the question, "Do I love what God loves? Do I love the church?"

God's Love for the World
The Apostle John teaches us that God's basic disposition toward the world is love, a love demonstrated perfectly in the giving over of Jesus Christ. It is this love for the world that calls us to have the same concern for those without God.
