The Regulative Principle of Worship 3
If Scripture is our guide then we do only in worship what God has commanded us to do. We do nothing more and nothing less. We do nothing from our own imaginations in order to avoid the possibility that something could be a suggestion of Satan. Therefore in worship, and here is your rule of thumb, we read the Word, pray the Word, sing the Word, and preach the Word.

Observing and Praising the Lord
This psalm, like many places in Scripture, commands us to praise the Lord with joy. This does not mean that we should manufacture an artificial emotional response but that we should observe the majesty of God and His perfect character and then respond accordingly. We sometimes have trouble praising God and this often happens because we haven’t spent enough time observing and meditating on who He is and what He has done for us, especially from what we see in the Bible. When we stop and spend time thinking about how powerful, faithful, trustworthy, and loving the Lord is it will help us to respond to His greatness with fitting words of praise.

The Regulative Principle of Worship 2
1. True worship is worshipping the God of Scripture according to the revealed pattern in Scripture; no more and no less. We are not allowed to add to it and we are not allowed to take away from it. 2. True worship is to be done in happy obedience to the revealed will of God because we know that He loves us and is concerned about us being molded into the image of Christ Jesus. Not only that, He knows what is best for us. 3. True worship is God glorifying, not human entertaining, but ultimately edifying to the individual as well as the congregation.

To the Praise of His Glory
In the opening sermon of this series, we looked at the Apostle Paul's spontaneous outburst of praise when contemplating the work of the triune God in creating a people for His own glory. The three persons of the Trinity were at work - the Father electing, the Son redeeming, and the Spirit sealing - all to build a new community, the church, which would exist for the glory of God.

The Regulative Principle Of Worship 1
The regulative principle is not going to deal with whether or not it is Scriptural to have electric lights or to meet inside or outside. It will deal with the very specific elements of worship and what we can participate in while worshipping the one true and living God. So why have a regulative principle of worship? The reason is three fold. 1. First, God has told us that He is to be worshipped. The very first commandment states that we are to have no other god before the One God who has redeemed us. All men of all times are called to bow the knee before the Lord of the Universe. 2. The second reason we need a regulative principle is because this God who has commanded us to worship Him also knows exactly how He is to be worshipped. And anything other than sanctioned worship is not acceptable. 3. The third reason we need a regulative principle is because we can not be trusted with instituting or maintaining biblical worship. We are going to see this in the Second Commandment.

How To Meet With God
One of the most important elements in a worship service is the heart of the person attending the service. If your heart is bent toward God when you walk in the door, it will be full of God when you walk out. Here are four attitudes that are important for every worshiper to have.

Walking with Grace (Psalm 103)
Life is filled with all sorts of landscape. An all terrain faith is equally balanced for the breathtaking view from the mountaintop and the confusing trek though a cold, dark valley. It provides adequate support for walking in rough, rocky stretches and stability for the slippery spots. In this exploration of the Psalms, we will see that no matter where you find yourself in life there is an appropriate faith response to your life situation. Are you ready for the hike?

A Worshipping Community
These days, there is an appetite for spirituality and a distaste for "church." Is this really what God wanted? The church was intended to be a dynamic, life-giving movement of people who experience and extend the love of God together. In fact, Jesus said that you can't be spiritual on your own, that the spiritual life is something we do together. If you catch a glimpse of God's dream for doing life together, we are convinced you'll never want anything less.

Philippians 1:18b-26 - A Certain Confidence
Paul puts the Gospel first in ministry because for him to life is Christ and to die is gain. Everyone lack confidence but when it comes to the worship of God a lack of confidence is either from sinfulness or ignorance. Why do we cherish or treasure things that don’t make God great? Paul’s answer was that we center our living on the false, fake, limited, and/or powerless things. For Paul Christian ministry must get back to a cross Center life that gives the greatest confidence. This Cross centered worship give us confidence that results from 1) Confidence in the Final vindication (18b-20), 2) Confidence in Life or death (21-24), and 3) Confidence for ministry to others (25-26). Focusing on the cross in Gospel worship gives us confidence that we will be vindicated in the last judgment. It did not matter what other did to him, he was on a ultimate mission. No matter what postmoderns say today, we can have certainty about things even thought knowledge of reality may sometimes be partial. It is ludicrous to say that you are certain that you are not certain. You don’t have to be omniscient to be certain about reality because our resources are outside of our selves – i.e. revelation and the supply of the Holy Spirit. Personal conversion and commitment are what is needed to the revelation that is given to supply our certainty. Confidence for Paul also came because of how he value life and death as profit for him. It did not matter because for Paul the apex of his values in his life and worship was Christ alone. Worship that brings confidence is radically God-centered, radically satisfying, and radically an end in itself. This freed Paul to have confidence to minister to others and it will give a great confidence to.

God’s Passion: To Be Worshipped Among All Nations
God’s Passion: To Be Worshipped Among All Nations His heartbeat: 1. “I myself will provide for my sheep and look after them.” 2. You will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord, for the display of His splendor. 3. To Pharaoh: (Ex.9:13-16) “I have raised you up: a. that I might show you My power and; b. that My name might be proclaimed in all the earth. 4. To the house of Israel: (Ez.36:16-23) a. “I had concern for My holy name.” b. You profaned My name by your disobedience. c. “I will show Myself holy through you before their eyes.” d. “Then the nations will know that I am LORD.” Conclusion: Missions is the vehicle to bring all nations to the feet of our great God! Worship is the fuel and goal of missions. Quote from John Piper: “Missions isn’t the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn’t. Worship, therefore, is the fuel and goal of missions. It’s the goal of missions because in missions we simply aim to bring the nations into the white-hot enjoyment of God’s glory.” (Let the Nations be Glad, the Supremacy of God in Missions)

Defining True Worship
Worship is often defined as a type of music sung as a part of church services but this is only a small part of what worship really is. Worship is giving praise, honor, and devotion to something or someone. This makes us all worshipers because we can’t help but give ourselves up and worship something; the only question is what will be the object of our worship. The apostle Paul reminds us in his letter to the Romans of all of the mercy and love that God has extended to us through His Son Jesus Christ, and because of this it is fitting for us respond to His mercy in worship, not merely with our singing once a week, but with our whole lives throughout the week as do everything with the goal that God’s greatness would be displayed by the way that we treat people and the decisions that we make.

Caracteristicas de la Adoracion/Worship
La adoracion significativa es una que nos vaciamos, no se trata de nosotros y lo que recibimos sino lo que damos. True worship is one in which we empty ourselves, is not about us and one in which we are more concerned with giving instead of receiving.

The Flow of Worship
365 WORSHIP The tabernacle was the most important object lesson for Israel during a period of 500 years to know how to worship God and come into His presence – “Let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.” (Exodus 25:8) Since then it has become the reference point for 365 worship down through the centuries. 6. The Dark Side of Palm Sunday: Lessons from a Worshipping Sufferer
If you’ve been around for Palm Sunday in the past, think back on those experiences. Recall the atmosphere of worship. Perhaps you were with a congregation that grabbed palm branches and waved them high during a jubilant hymn or song. Maybe you sang those famous words, sung on the very first Palm Sunday: “Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” In most (if not all) our experiences of Palm Sunday, churches tended to pull out all the stops, coming in at 100% on the joy-meter. But there was a dark side to Palm Sunday, which we will explore today through the eyes of King David. Why dampen such a festive day? We’re willing to do it because the one person who saw and experienced the dark side of Palm Sunday was none other than Jesus Himself. Today, we’ll walk the Palm Sunday that Christ walked.
