Today is the day we celebrate motherhood. Since 1914, Mother’s Day has been a recognized day for the celebration of motherhood. For many, it is a reminder of good times, the kindness and tenderness of their mother, a household filled with love and joy. For others, it is a sad time because of infertility, wayward children, or the loss of their own mother. It is truly a day of mixed emotions for many. Yet there is a new generation of mothers that are being raised up right now. They are being taught what it means to be a mother. But what are they learning? Are they be giving the tools needed to be successful in the very challenging world of motherhood? Today, we talk about how to raise a new generation of mothers in light of God’s creative design and plan for life in this world.
There is no one that has made more of an impact on our futures then our mothers. Every mother affects the world for generations to come just as all the graduates will affect the world for generations to come. Just like our mothers, We have all been called to impact future generations.
How many of us sit back and watch as our friends and those close to us slip away from Christ? What is it going to take before you reach out?
In a politically correct world, God's ways are blasphemous. The idea that God allows some access into His community, and denies others is unacceptable to the world, and even for some in the church. This passage declares God's right to choose as He sees fit. Ultimately, that which God chooses is loving, right and praiseworthy.
Each new challenge is an opportunity to let God fight for us. So why is it so hard to trust God with what is next?
God's law places a premium upon the sanctity of marriage. Therefore the price of violating another man's wife, or potential wife, was severe. Today's society has soaked in humanism for so long that God's law, which is the perfect representation of love, seems to harsh for most people. It would not have seemed so in another day.
