Jeremiah's last oracle to God's people after they fled to Egypt to escape another war. Jeremiah's message was one of warning and judgment.
The people of Judah had their bags packed and were running to Egypt for "safety," where their chaotic world made sense. God urged them through Jeremiah to stick to the land and to the Lord, ruthlessly trusting in God's word.
Whom should you marry? Where should you live? What kind of work should you do? How should you use discretionary money and time? What if God gave you specific answers and guidance to those questions; would you follow Him?
