Sermons on Job
Prayer is a mystery. We know that it is God's will to bring all to salvation (2 Peter 3:9) and yet we are commanded to pray for the salvation of all men as if it depends on us (1 Tim 2:1-5). “So what will happen to the people I love - if I don’t pray?” The book of Job provokes us to ask the same question.
Four principles of prayer we can learn from Job. 1. Be mature enough to pray for those God brings into your life. 2. Be willing to pray for those whom in the natural you would rather not pray for. 3. Don't exchange prayer to get a blessing for yourself. 4. Don't be self-absorbed.
The Big Idea is that God rebukes Christian Karma and restores the type of Christ.
