Salt & Light
Jesus calls his followers the salt or the earth and the light of the world. In order for this to be true the salt must be pure and the light must not be hidden. While the concepts are fairly easy to understand the challenge is for each one of us to live consistently in such a way that demonstrates that Christ is the center of our lives.

The Sermon on the Mount: How to read the Beatitudes
The Beatitudes can be read as individual promises which define the blessed life, or they can be read as a unit where there is progression of thought. When read in this manner, they represent our spiritual journey.

Jesus Came into the World to Redeem Sinners
If the mission of Jesus was to come into the world and redeem sinners, then shouldn't we be about his mission as well? Paul tells us pretty clearly in II Corinthians 5 that we have been reconciled to God and given the message of reconciliation to share with others. When we understand that the barrier that our sin created has been removed by Jesus and we now can be reconciled to God...then we will want to share this with others...so why not do so this year at Christmas!

The Shepherd Psalm
The 23rd Psalm is one of David's best known, best loved writings. Through it we catch sight of an amazing thought understood by people of deep faith: having enough means having God.
