Jesus Came into the World to Redeem Sinners
If the mission of Jesus was to come into the world and redeem sinners, then shouldn't we be about his mission as well? Paul tells us pretty clearly in II Corinthians 5 that we have been reconciled to God and given the message of reconciliation to share with others. When I started getting a sense that perhaps God wanted me to be a pastor I faced a tough battle with my fear and reluctance to embrace this calling. I’ve discovered that this crisis of choice is common whenever we hear the voice of the Spirit directing us to do something for God. We are forced to face the question: "Will it be my way or God's way?"

Expect Opposition
"The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him." These wonderful words capture the heart of Psalm 34, written by David as he fled attempts on his life by both King Saul and King Achish of Gath.
